Key deliverables & Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following deliverables:
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by implementation and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Examine the levels of raw materials and supplies to determine shortages.
- Document daily receiving and issuance of inventory.
- Create detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations and stock levels
- Evaluating new inventory, ensuring it’s ready to use.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Maintains physical condition of the warehouse; proper stacking and inspecting equipment;
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
- Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills
- Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts.
- Track rates of accuracy, purchase and return as well as defective items to help quality control decisions.
- Prepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports; review reports monthly with management.
- Proficient with computers and other standard office technology.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree preferably in logistics, supply chain management or business administration.
