Job Overview:
The marketing & social media manager will be responsible to grow online donations in the USA.
We are seeking a motivated, self-starter with experience in marketing and social media across all platforms, including but not limited to websites, social media platforms, e-blasts, direct mail, print collateral, and by employing other marketing tools.
The ideal candidate would have worked within or with the marketing department of a marketing/advertising agency preferably for a non-profit organization based in the USA or worked for a USA based company directly.
In short, the ideal candidate will be a mature person realizing the importance of these support roles to the overall success of our organization. The success in this position will entail a strong understanding of the key points for a successful social media and marketing presence and how to be the “voice” and “face” of AKHUWAT in US market.
Marketing strategy and a strong understanding of data are required. The right person for this role understands non-profit marketing, and the weight of social media and PR are two sides of the same coin involved in promoting key messaging in both owned, organic, and earned channels.
Skills & competencies:

  • Knowledge in website strategy, content, and UX
  • Ability to communicate with marketing and operations department of Akhuwat Pakistan
  • Confident writing skills that can range from a tweet to a press release with ease
  • Strong experience creating content calendars
  • Ability to link communications plans and activities to business outcomes and partner
  • High level strategic thinker with strong creative and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others through influence and collaboration
  • Manage accounts in all social media channels
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the company; ensure high levels of tact and diplomacy
  • A very high proficiency in English both verbal and written is mandatory.

Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public relations, communications, marketing, media studies or a related field is required.
Work timings: The working hours will overlap to a certain extent with the work hours of US because the reporting manager of this position is based out of Los Angeles, CA USA.
Work Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in making use of state-of-the-art marketing tools for a USA based non-profit organization is mandatory. Sound work experience in marketing strategy, planning, executing, and data analysis is highly desired.
